WHY MICROBLADING IS "ALWAYS" TEMPORARY!!!

WHY MICROBLADING IS ALWAYS "TEMPORARY"!!!

Jewls' "Elegant Brow"

Let me start by letting you know that I have many years experience performing "Permanent Makeup" treatments - long before "microblading" became the "rage"! (I added permanent makeup (hairstroke brows) to my practice back in 2008.  Most individuals don't even understand exactly what microblading is.  Microblading (the popular new term/service) is a relatively new treatment done by typically "new" technicians (which is why it is offered now by so many people who claim to be "experts").  This is not meant, in any way, to disrespect new technicians, it is to explain how the industry has evolved.  This form of microblading is done using a "manual" tool and is a more superficial way of applying a temporary brow which usually fades within one year.  If you are looking for a temporary brow that will fade out, this will be the option for you.  Technicians typically charge around $600 for this.

I have always offered "hairstroke" brows - which I now call "Digital Microblading" because I use a digital machine (in 2008 and prior, we used rotary machines which are no longer used in facial tattooing - hopefully) which implants the color at the dermal level and yields long lasting results with little to no trauma to the skin - this means very little to no swelling and quicker healing times!  Digital machines are like a "mercedes", rotary machines are like a "70's datsun" and manual application is like a "manual 1980's VW rabbit".  Your skin will respond better with a "smooth ride".  Touchups are ALWAYS necessary with "hairstrokes" (microblading) as there is minimal color implanted with each hairstroke and needs to be adjusted and perfected on the touchup. All clients who receive any facial permanent makeup with me also receive two (2) complimentary LED/Aqua Detox treatments to help heal quicker and help your color pop out beautifully!

Now, this is where the understanding needs to come in.  When you come back for a "color boost" or "touchup" after a year, the hairstrokes will no longer be precise and "clean".  The reason is because the pigment is implanted in the dermal layer of the skin and will migrate with existing color and heal with blurred lines.  This isn't a technician issue.  This is a fact of skin, pigment and science combined.

With this knowledge of how the skin works and how pigment heals in the skin, I have designed my own unique style of brow I refer to as "The Elegant Brow".  This is a combination of "Digital Microblading" and "Shading" which yields (in my opinion) a much more natural, defined and elegant look.  The visible hairstrokes will peak at the top of the brow with some whisps in the front of the brow.  Shading will be "faded" towards the top of the brow so, when healed, the brow will look natural and not "sharp".  Please remember to have patience when receiving your initial brow.  It WILL appear darker in color and fade within the first 5 days.  A touchup isn't required, but HIGHLY recommended to perfect the brows and make any adjustments to color and shape.  Then, a color-boost is recommended each year to two years for maintenance.  I also offer and sell a beautiful, healing foundation that will hydrate the skin and hide redness and irritation post treatments called OXYGENETIX.  This can be worn over areas of your permanent makeup to help conceal any minor swelling or redness post treatment and can be purchased off of my shopping cart.  It is also great for post microneedling treatments and deeper chemical peels!  I love this foundation so much that I wear it often because it gives a flawless finish (like airbrush makeup) and attracts oxygen and moisture to the skin throughout the day without ever feeling heavy!  It also has an SPF30.  Read more here: OXYGENETIX INFOYou can always begin with "Digital Microblading" and then progress to the "Elegant Brow" or a powdered brow, but you cannot go from an Elegant Brow/Powdered brow to microblading as the pigment will not have clear, defined lines.

Permanent Makeup (digital microblading, eyeliner, lip color and areola's) is always best performed with digital machines for better clarity, lasting color, and quicker healing times!  As always, you will want an individual with experience to perform your treatments.  Quality is always your better choice in everything you do!
